TED comes to DC with a special event on the Gulf oil spill

TEDxOilSpill will be held on June 28, 2010
at the International Trade Center Amphitheater

Arrival on June 28

Doors to the building will open at 7:00am and we encourage everyone to arrive well before the 9:00am start time. You must check in with registration upon arrival and retrieve your name badge. We will have a coat check for you, and members of our concierge team will be available to guide you. Casual attire is absolutely appropriate and encouraged – it’s going to be a long day. Lunch will be served, and we will have multiple coffee and bathroom breaks.

Cell phones must be turned off when inside the auditorium. No cameras or laptops will be allowed as to not disturb other attendees. If you are late to TEDx OilSpill, you will not be permitted inside the auditorium until there is a break between speakers.


We encourage you to take Metro.

The Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center is located on historic Pennsylvania Avenue in the heart of Washington, DC, within walking distance of the White House, the Capitol, Smithsonian Museums, many of Washington, DC’s finest hotels and other prominent businesses, historical sites and cultural organizations.

The International Trade Center is easily accessible from three major international airports – Reagan Washington National, Dulles and BWI. The Federal Triangle metro stop (orange/blue lines) is located on site, and the Metro Center metro stop (red line) is just two blocks away. For drivers, an underground garage provides parking for 2,000 cars.
